Went to Indian Wells last night. Saw some GREAT points yesterday. We had to make a decision on weather to watch Nadel play doubles on court two or watch Roddick. We made a disappointing choice to watch one of my hero’s lose his match to Berdich. They both stuck to the baseline. No one bothered to rush slow balls. Few of the balls were short. Berdich played well. Roddick relied on his serve pulling a few aces. A number of his shots were slow low slices landing beyond the baseline. He broke a raquet and at another time yelled the f word. I think he does not have his heart in it anymore. Time to sell real estate.
Lessons today were exceptional. Thanks Mitch, Micheal, Ari, and John. I was a slug in the first 45 miutes… no coffee. Late as I was yesterday which is embarrassing for someone who loves this game as much as I do. Micheal and Ari worked on my volley again. It seems to be coming together. i have to keep an edge on my racquet which comes naturally with the continental grip. Hmm go figure no one told me. I had been adjusting my grip for a long time from left to right but only by a few degrees. I had to learn again. Move up to the net. I was dong it! When it came to serving my arm was very heavy. At game time my serve strategy worked well but during practise I on landed one in the box.
Thanks ladies for a good class
