My purpose of practise

The purpose is to be; the best of the best of the best.

I play for fun. Serious fun.

This page is about the adventure from being the doubted soul that will take the first gold in Tennis in Canadian history. It is a record of all activity on court in preparation for the Rio 2016 games.

I do many other activities in order to prepare for the games. I have changed my diet, and my lifestyle and more.

My beliefs have always been the same. Honest hard work will pay off in the end.

I had a choice a few years ago of continuing with my education in my spare time. I could not decide. Dentist, lawyer, Principal… During this time I also started to play tennis because I had a 36 inch waist. I was invited to join in a tennis tournament at C level. I played 5 players in a round robin event in Abbotsford. After the tournament was over they said they did not know I could have made it on Friday or Sunday so they scheduled everything on Saturday for me. I won. My hands were bleeding. I could not close them at the end of the day. I could not hit a shot. I could not serve. It was all tap tap tap. I was fast. At that level I could get to any shot and touch it. At my next practice I asked my buddy Tom about tennis Canada. He said, “Buddy they already know who you are.” I decided at that time that I would like to play tennis and try to excel at it. I decided my future was not in more school but on the court for health, fun and excellence.

I tried to get as much court time as possible but it just didn’t happen. So I have ventured out on my own. Creating my own opportunities to be supported in my adventure.

This page is my log of my efforts to win gold for myself, friends, family and country.
