Played a ladder match with Ben again. This time he took it. 4-6 Good job Ben!
Ladder match with Denise. Denise informed me that our matches are pro sets to 10. 0-10 Hell of a job Denise.
A good hit with Erica. Thanks 3-2.
I had not played since last week. But at least having played last week my warm up much better. My able bodied opponent hit well but lacked it on the serve. A few hard hitting rallies in the match. Once he was warmed up his serve provided him with some ace points. My shots were pretty good. I enjoyed the match. Thanks Ben
Ladder match. 31 days since I last played. Work work and work. If I wasn’t working I was in pain. Did not work out for four weeks.
QE ladder match tonight. Louis was my opponent. My friend and hitting partner was now my nemesis. I am guessing by now I have played a dozen times in the last ten months. The ten minute warm up did not fair well. I could only go into the match knowing my body would do what it has to. I was getting one in three into the court. My serves were about 80%. Game play started. I was soon down 0-2.
Hard work took it to 3-2 From there is was a battle. Faulting on the wrong points. A battle to the end. 7-5 Many deuces. Many aces on my part. At the start of the eight game my body started doing what it was supposed to. Shots and serves I was proud of.
Good hit. Topspin worked well. Arm did okay. I will have to see if I have pain tomorrow. Looking forward to next weeks hit!
Good hit. No muscle pain today. Two weeks off. Will try two sessions in a few per week in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that. The tennis psyche is naturally coming back.
Many misshits. But who cares.
All is coming on well in this re-entry to tennis. I played doubles today. Forehand is strong. It is doing what I want it to most of the time. Serve is coming back. Using all serves. Backhand is using the muscles I am trying to bring back. I a using the back hand but not powering up at all. Relying on placement and spin.
Worked with Louis today. 5-7, 5-0
Only seeing the Kinesiologist and Massage therapist now.
One muscle still not actively engaging.
