Started serving on court 19 at 7:10 this morning. After about 15 minutes the number one seed approached to warm up with me for our consolation matches. He was beaten by the number three seed in the main draw. I played the number three seed in my first round of the main draw. It is incestuous. The warm up was good he was cooperative. We began the match about 8:10. first set I worked on focus; watch the ball, watch the ball, watch the ball; watch the ball, watch the ball, watch the ball. Muttering it often to keep me in focus. On his serves I tap my frame twice squeeze my knee once and dilate. It is working well, serves are in, forhand and backhand both have topspin. Ilike what is going on. I am winning. score 6-4. I know if I can loosen up I can do better. Second set. He bre3aks me on the first game. I break him on the second. I break him on the third I think… this is good I am doing well I am keeping up with less effort. I remind myself to focus. I pepper up my serve and start to double fault. I forget to stay in focus. I say to my self I can take this in the third set. I forget to stay in focus. Score 3-6. Third set forgot all about staying focus. The first game, the score is 15-15. I fault on the first serve. It lands by the net. i look at the balls girls they do not move. I go for my second. I tose the ball up and put some heat on it. I lower my head and hey there is a kid there picking up a ball. Almost took her head out. They changed ball girls. The old ones were still standing at the net and the one was in action. The serve was good. Number one seed called a let (good call 🙂 ). Why am I slicing my backhand, I want topspin. Second game my grip tore.. It was noticeable. I wanted to change rackets. Why am I slicing my backhand, I want topspin. Fourth game changed rackets. Why am I slicing my backhand, I want topspin. Fifth game realized I better focus. score 0-5. Why am I slicing my backhand, I want topspin. Sixth game sitting there to receive number ones serve. Tap twice, sqeeze knee, sunglasses fell apart and fell off my head. I did not even touch them. they were new from palm desert. They just broke. Official asked me if I would like to borrow his. I said, No, I will be fine.” He took the game to 40 love. We went to deuce. Ad in. I shanked the back hand trying to pull topspin. He won 6-0. Time 10:45
