Back to school

I learned from Shelley today.

This class could be divided into thirds.  First third, excellent. Second SUCKED. The last… with both hard work and focus went well.

Working on ‘this stuff’ makes me anxious.  I can see many good elements in my play and have for a long time.  Maybe, as long as eight or nine years.  But there have been interruptions.   It has been three weeks since Pensacola.

Shelley makes me play really hard. Consistency has improved over time in practise and match play but taking the practise to the game is the challenge.  Whenever I work with Shelley the same anxiety comes to me as in a match.  I haven’t seen her for six weeks now. When I play her I really want the points.

I do many of the right things.  My arsenal is large.

I was amazed at how slow the ball moved today, but I know how fast it was really moving.  Ten weeks to the Sacramento.  Tomorrow GCTC (Now called the North Vancouver Tennis Centre, Grant’s request.)   I will try not to play more than four times a week for the next ten weeks.
