Fun times in beginners today.

Many intermediate and advanced players take the opportunity to head over to the beginners courts for doubles. I do it because it allows me the opportunity to hone my skills and help out the greenhorns. Today there was a brand new beginner with only a few weeks on the court and a solid intermediate for opponents in doubles. I do not think this has ever happened to me before. Usually the opponents are of the same level. It became difficult after a while,I was trying to give nice easy shots to the beginner and shots the the intermediate could either not touch or return. It was a challenge. After a while the easy hits became to soft to make it over the net so I had to give a slightly harder shot to the beginner and they proved difficult for him to return

Of course we all enjoyed ourselves.

A few days ago I almost flipped over trying to reach for a wide shot. Today it felt almost natural as I coasted for a second on only my front casters while making a challenging shot. 🙂
