“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”  Helen Keller.

A great hit with Dawn this morning.  People were taking pictures.  It was fun.

A good hit at QE Tennis Club.  Thanks for all the great partners that I worked with today.  I played four half hour sessions today.  I have only played three half hour sessions lately.

I have signed up for a tournament in one week.  Match play is less intensive than practise I hope they are all quick.

I worked very hard through the last two sessions today.  As usual pain is gone after the hit. 🙂

I am really looking forward to the mental challenge of match play.  I must maintain my focus.

Richard Meyer the tournament director for the August tournament called to let me know how surprised he was that I had entered the open in Oregon.  We chatted for a while.  It was a warm welcome.  It made me think about all the people I might see again at the tournament and how nice that will be.

It will be good to see people I have not seen for a few years.  I hope some of my american friends make it.  I hope to bring my best mental game with me.

Nice hit with Louis this evening.

Finding out today that I was possibly taking too much Tylenol and this was a possible reason for my Tinnitus.  This was a relief for my worries as my increased ear ringing may decrease.  45 Db in my right ear and 35 Db in the left.  I am looking forward to relief… I hope it is the issue.

Sick again this week.  Very tired after my last two hits.  Happy with my skill set thought.

It have been over two years since I have competed.  I feel my body is in slightly better shape.  My shoulders are still recovering and I cannot believe it is taking so long.  Physio, Acupuncture, Massage and Chiro.  Stretches and exercises have made it useful again.  I pray it is better in a while.  We are concentrating on my deltoid now.  I must try to recover every muscle in my body for an active healthy life… 30+ years to go.  Starting pain and anti inflammatory meds months ago has made my days bearable.

Looking forward to the competition… it makes me feel alive.
